had same problem onLive 7.0.18 on Vaio + W7 HomePremium x64 + RME Fireface + APC. I've reinstalled sound card drivers, downgraded to Live 7.0.15, re-install all usb devices, then it started to work fine. No lags at all. Not sure why, but try to install different version of Live 7 + re-install driver...

A few pointers: -It's better to use a synth like Operator or a sampler, as the notes always start at the zero crossing point, which is essential to get that tight trance bass. wait until abelton fix it, or buy some cheap drumbox with midi out (eg boss dr-660 or whatever) and connect two laptops thru midi interface tu midi out onf the drumbox, sync them as slave.. cant say it will work properly as it seems midi sync is total mess on ableton...

it's wrong. midi sync sucks big time. you wont be able to sync it properly without external box with midi clock run as master, than 2 computers synced to it as slave.
