Sort of confusing issue...

I'm in a live band and am using physical keyboards as well as 10 VSTIs inside a Live (4.14) set

Since each of our songs requires selecting patches on the two keyboards as well as arming the appropriate MIDI track in Live, it's become a bit of a nightmare at gigs to move ...

2. edit key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Live 4.1.4.Document\shell\open\command
3. modify value:

place "double quotes" around BOTH the program path and the %1 that represents the file name

I just got a new ThinkPad and have installed Live 4.14 on it.

On my previous machine (also running Live 4.14 and WinXP) I had no problem double-clicking an ableton file in Windows and having Live launch and open the file.

Now on my new machine, Live launches but does not open my file.

Any clues ...

I recently got back into trying to "relearn" Live 4... and was startled to find out that what you're talking about isn't possible. Quite saddening for me actually. Here's hoping it gets fixed?? Anyone know if Live 5 solves this?

how does the MIDI sync work on the CD players? Does each have MIDI in and out? I think if they transmit MIDI clock you could figure out a way to do it using a MIDI splitter or two and perhaps a merger. But it's dangerous getting carried away with connections when you're trying to make music using ...

no need for preassembled, just make sure you get a processor for the right socket design!!

strange... i use it the other way. I use a BCR2000 as a MIDI interface and output MIDI clock from Live to my synthesizer. Works fine that way, so I don't understand why it wouldn't work for an external device to send MIDI clock to Live. Have you messed around with the different operating modes on ...

now that AMD has made A64 3000's and 3200's on Socket 939... i'd recommend a 939 board.
