Complex Ableton/Traktor routing (via Loopback)
I have a question for thee. I use Loopback for DJ/music production purposes and my situation is as follows: I route 4 Traktor Decks into Ableton via a Virtual Device. The Virtual Device has got 8 channels (2 for each Traktor Deck (A, B, C and D)). This goes into Ableton where I got 4 audio channels ...

Re: DJ Mix levels from Ableton? Need to use Editor?
I record all my decks in seperate channels in Ableton, and that is the only thing that is "static". EQ, FX, fader movements and even tempo changes are recorded in Arrangement View. So when I screw transitions up, I can edit them afterwards. I have been using this setup with succes for 2,5 ...

Re: Using the step sequencer from the big three pack
1. Transport should be set to Sync;
2. Create new MIDI Track, click I/O and in the "MIDI From" section choose the channel with the Mono Sequencer on it. Put Monitor to In, Arm the track and record you go!

I do the same with Traktor (with Auto gain) and Ableton, throwing "Analog tape Master" preset or something like that on the Master for even things out even further. I love my setup and like the sound of it, it's very gnarly and saturated.

iZotope Iris 2 vs. Granulator
So normally I tend to stay away from such comparisons... But since reading a couple of articles and seeing videos of Iris in action, how does it compare to Granulator? I am using Granulator with great passion and want to stay with Live's native devices or M4L-devices. But something keeps me wonderin...

Re: Good Richie Hawtin interview
Really always thought he was using MIDI Clock.
Nonetheless I despise his choice of music nowadays. Plain, generic Tech House.

If Live Suite, yes. Max For Live - although I can't really remember how it was on Live 8... But Live 9 is always doing its thing for me!

Re: OSCiLLOT
This looks great, but shamelessly "inspired" by Beap, which is free. But i must say that i have some weird results with Beap, and the interface/workflow looks amazing in Oscillot. From Muff Wiggler: There are some fundamental differences: - patchable in Live - polyphonic (instrument versi...
