Re: Apollo Twin with Live 9 Suite

I have an Apollo Twin and run Ableton Live (not the suite) and it works perfectly. They do have a special until 12/31 - but an Apollo rack and get a quad DSP box free of charge. With the duo, it gives you 3x the DSP power of the interface alone - you just need to get a Thunderbolt cable to hook it i...

Just so you know, at the end of the year Novamusik will be sending you a form with your prize value to send to the IRS. You are going to have to pay tax on that prize, sorry to say.

I have a Proteus 2000 with 3 additional expansion boards that really make it one hell of a 1 space monster. Keep in mind it isn't going to compete with soft synths in terms of quality - they stuffed a lot of presets on those small ROM chips. But you will get a boatload of usable presets if you get t...

Autowarp gives a very good starting point most of the time. You will ALWAYS have to make manual adjustments to warping. Warping vinyl is time consuming because of the small tempo changes that happen throughout the track due to the platter speeding up and slowing down slightly. Warping vinyl often t...

The SE-1 is the hip hop bass synth of choice, not the Omerga 8 - although I am sure it can make the same sounds as the SE-1.

I just got my Battery 3 up and running last night - seems to be running fine. Need to make sure the MIDI is all set up correctly once I figure out my work flow in Live 6.

Battery sounds awesome and hardly any latency with my machine (A64X2 with 2GB).

I have the Adams, but depending on your preference, the Dyns are just as awesome too. Mackies are too harsh and Genelecs (even at a price range higher) cannot compete with the Adams or Dyns.

I think all garage band loops ans samples are in the .aiff format, which Live 6 can pull up just like a .wav or mp3.
