Re: Windows 10.. Is it a lemon?
I haven't had one crash since the 9.5 update on Windows 10. It sounds like you have a corrupted drive. If you have pirated vst's that is most likely what caused it. There is a nasty virus that has been killing hard drives packaged with pirated software. Glad I caught that bug a while back and got bi...

Re: USB Audio Interface Recommendations, Please?
I have the Presonus Audiobox 22VSL and its ok, never disconnects but I do have to turn up the buffer on larger projects or it clicks and pops like crazy. Presonus has discontinued develepment for the VSL series software so no more driver/firmware updates. So basically they screwed over everyone that...

Thanks Ableton!
Just wanted to give a thanks to the Ableton team for giving us 9.5 and all of the goodies we get for free. I was having major issues with Ableton freezing, running slow, crashing on my PC but everything, including M4L, is running really smooth (knock on wood). I would have to say my confidence has b...

Re: Push 2 or Maschine mk2 ?
I would like a generic controller for synths, something with 32 encoders with a layout dseigned for instruments, not the horrible rows of buttons all manufacturers do. Some saint of a company needs to make an affordable modular general MIDI controller. Think of how cheap the nano controllers are. S...

Re: Transparency
Personally I don't think it's healthy to be so concerned about the future, it's just anxiety. In my view is also this kind of unsatisfaction that produces consumerism. Do you like the product as it is? Do you think other products are better now? Use whatever is the best for you now, the future coul...

Re: Transparency
I have noticed the lack of transparency and openness of Ableton as a company with regards to development. Did anyone even know about 9.5 and what the features were going to be? Microsoft is allowing users to have a more direct path with the developers with the insider program to help shape the futu...

Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Looks like the prices are already dropping for the Push 1. $300 on craigslist now. Will probably go for cheaper in the coming weeks. I might consider having one again if I could get one for $250.

Re: Live 9.5 crashes/issues
I'm on Win 10 here but I haven't had the issues you have had. After I installed it and opened up a project the audio was playing back terribly but a restart fixed it. One thing I hadn't noticed was that I was still using Max 6 as I didn't have the right folder selected for Max 7. You might want to c...

Re: Transparency
It is a bit offtopic but trust me when I say that Microsoft doesn't pay half as much attention to the Inside program as you make it sound here. I've been part of that and well; there were plenty of people who warned them about the irky way Windows 8 worked and how the start screen vs. start menu wa...

Re: Live 9.5
Well, the first part was, but not the last I'm sure. You're welcome though and I was pretty tired when I wrote that. Didn't mean to sound harsh. My apologies for the tone. Yes, latency will always be a problem, so maybe Link will be best for syncing sequencers rather than real-time playing. Conside...

Re: Live 9.5
Ah, I see. Might be fun with friends having a drunken jam session but not that useful a production tool. Because electronic musicians can't co-operate? Just because you need to be drunk to jam doesn't mean everyone else won't see this as a very useful production tool. Relax, it was a joke! I suppos...

Re: My Complaint With the Direction of Live.
Max 7 seems to be much more stable for me so I am now using it more. I think what might be a good idea is to have a vote on what M4L devices we all would want native and Ableton could take that into account. I would vote for Convolution Reverb, LFO, and Granulator 2. I would also like to see a bette...
