Re: Perhaps I may be the only one who didn't upgrade to 10?
I decided not to upgrade. Ableton has continued to move in a direction that doesnt fit my needs and workflow, which is fine, and I'm sure I'm in the minority on that. I had a push and didnt take to it and I hardly use session view now. I'm not sure what I will try next so for now I will stick with 9.

Re: Typo in live 10 very eye-tireing
The font was an issue since the beta was released and one of the reasons I decided not to upgrade. It just looks small and much harder to read. I ran the beta on a iMAC, Surface Pro, and older 1080 monitors and it just does not look as good as it should for a $300 "upgrade". I was excited ...

Re: Ableton 10 is obsolet!
My biggest complaint with 10 is the price. While I get that it is in line with prior upgrades and competetor pricing its interesting that for only $60 more we could buy Bitwig with their holiday sale. For $60 more I could just stick with 9 and get Bitwig and have 2 playgrounds to play in.

Re: Am I The Only One Not Impressed?
Why would Ableton completely change the way it looks? That would be a very risky move. Ableton is Ableton because of its excel looking gui and non linear workflow. I think they borrowed from Apple and just focused on improving what is already there. I'm willing to bet this will be the most stable ve...

Re: 10 is announced!
So now that Ableton has opened the full screen synth can of worms I wonder if we will see other machines like operator get some full screen love?

Re: 10 is announced!
As soon as you turn on the 2nd oscillator and crank up the Unison the Wavetable uses a lot of CPU as to be expected.

Re: 10 is announced!
I thought the price seemed a bit high but it is the same price as 8-9 and I think we are getting our money's worth. If the Wavetable synth proves to be as good as Serum (or even a close second) then that is worth $189 right there. Add in the Drum Buss which sounds a lot like Izotope Trash 2 then the...

Do you have to purchase the pre-order in order to get the Beta?

Re: 10 is announced!
The more videos I watch on Youtube the more I realize how much has improved. The Wavetable synth is a beast, probably comparible to Serum. Hopefully having MAX built in things will be more stable with those devices. The new skins look great and the high dpi on Windows should make squinting less of a...

Re: 10 is announced!
A bit disappointed that there aren't tabbed projects and different display profiles like Bitwig. I do like the new way clip fades are implemented and editing audio in arrangement is sweet. Mp3 export is a bit of a time saver as well. To be honest I was expecting more wiz-bang features as it's their ...

Re: Live 10 around the corner?
users actually need is a stable and effective DAW, not "features" that takes two years before things actually works (remembering 9.0 and 9.1). Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but it feels we're looking at something big soon, don't you think? What it is, I have no idea about. You k...

Re: Live 10 around the corner?
Yesterday, I received an email survey about improvements I'd like to see in Ableton. That makes me think they are only beginning to start work on version 10. If that is the case then Ableton will seriously be left behind. There is too much competition for them not to be innovating. I suspect they w...

Re: Ableton Live Redesign
Shame on Ableton if they dont at least give you an interview! Nice work, and that is probably the most comprehensive way to show what you are capable of with loads of references and past work experience to back it up.

Re: I really hate the way Ableton handles file management!
Yeah I don't think renaming the source files (even as an option) is a good idea at all. The OP is complaining about having files not save with a project to start with. Imagin if you had the option in Prefs (that you forgot you selected) then start renaming clips in a project and having that break r...

Re: I really hate the way Ableton handles file management!
I just want the option to have Save As essentially do a Collect ALL and Save. I realize that the folder has to be different since the path on the drive has to be different in order to distinguish between the same file names. Another thing that drives me nuts is that when re-naming audio files in Abl...
