hey @daek THANK YOU for posting this and staying on it and reporting your solutions. I have been hitting a wall with this stupid midi delay for awhile now, basically throwing my hands up and considering moving back to Logic after all these years since... no latency there!

oh man oh man oh man!!!
after literally a couple of years of trying to fin the right looping solution, finally it came along.
anyways heres what i do-
open Sooperlooper(SL) as an audio unit plug in a midi track in Live,
create 10 empty midi clips,
map them to my behringer footpedal in a similar ...

The looping world is LIVID with Ableton for not simply including "OVERDUB" functionality in clip recording! Its an easy i/o function. What people dont realize is that most of the hardware loopers out there just dont cut it in one way or another, and Live would have it DOWN if they just included that ...

i like it! i used to quantize a different amount of shuffle to te first 2 bars and the last, or nudge one perc hit at the end of the measure, little things like that breathe so much life and shuffle into the electronics.......
