Re: [c74] Edit button doesn't open Max instrument window
Vista 32bit, latest versions available from links on the forum. Start up Live, drag a new Max midi effect to a track. Hit the edit button. Wait a few seconds. Max For Live pops up. But not the instrument. Hit the edit button again (turning it off). Hit it again, then see the instrument pop up to edit.

Re: Directly grabbing midiin from port
Hmmm...
Is there native MFL support of APC? I recall a video turning it into a step sequencer or something... anyone know the basic gist of how that would be done?

Directly grabbing midiin from port
With normal Max/MSP I was grabbing data from a midiin object that was looking at a specific virtual port, then I was doing some stuff and sending it to a midiout object on the same port... Live was using that port for in. I was basically using Max to translate the midi signal before Live "saw i...

[ddg] Edit button doesn't open Max instrument window
The first time I boot Live and click the edit button for a Max object, it launches Max, but not the instrument I'm trying to edit. If I then click the edit button again (disabling it) then hit it again (enabling it) then it opens the Max instrument editing window. [edit] Note: this is if I'm opening...

Initial Setup Questions
PC laptop, Windows Vista I already own an installed registered copy of Live 8.0.4 with the complete library. I previously installed Max 5.0.7 trial version. I downloaded and installed the betas for Live and Max for Live. (Installed M4L first, rebooted, then installed Live 8 beta) I registered the Li...

Hello!
Hi all. Won't get to install and much testing until this weekend. Just wanted to say hi. And ask a few questions: I have a registered version of Live 8, with library full of stuff, etc. I have a lot of projects and plugins I don't want to mess up accidentally. Is there anything I should be aware of ...

Re: Record for 2 bars then stopping and looping - possible?
If you were using midi you could create an empty two bar clip and then step into it in "over dub" mode. Don't think there's a way to do that with audio tho. There really ought to be a kind of "overdub & replace" mode you can put audio clips into. But i dont think there's anyt...

Re: Delete Last Activated Clip?
Hmmm... maybe something is awry... but here's part 2 of the problem. It appears that when I launch a clip to RECORD with the APC it doesn't make that clip slot the active clip, so if i then hit backspace, it doesn't delete that one, but the last slot I clicked to play. :S In other words... say I hav...

Re: Delete Last Activated Clip?
Hmmm I'll try again, but it seemed the other night that if I start playing a clip using the APC clip launch button, hitting delete key didn't do anything at all (even with select on launch turned on in prefs).

Re: Delete Last Activated Clip?
I have bomes, but I don't know what message to send to Ableton. I try sending a delete or backspace key, and if I'm firing and selecting things with anything other than clicking on it with my mouse, those keys do nothing.
What key strokes should I be sending?

Delete Last Activated Clip?
There must be something obvious that I'm missing here. I hit play on a clip (remotely). It activates and starts playing. Now I want to delete that clip. How do I do that without needing to use a mouse, or map specific slots? Context: Using APC40, I have my set going, i've jumped around in it, record...

Re: Midi mapping Record Enable not obeying Exclusive preference
Pitch Black: I've noticed some wonkiness with on/off momentary/toggle style buttons being mapped to on/off buttons in live, try changing the type of button press your midi device is sending and see if that helps. The keyboard mapping should work fine, so if all else fails, get Bomes midi translator ...
