Vista 32bit, latest versions available from links on the forum. Start up Live, drag a new Max midi effect to a track. Hit the edit button. Wait a few seconds. Max For Live pops up. But not the instrument. Hit the edit button again (turning it off). Hit it again, then see the instrument pop up to edit.

Is there native MFL support of APC? I recall a video turning it into a step sequencer or something... anyone know the basic gist of how that would be done?

If you were using midi you could create an empty two bar clip and then step into it in "over dub" mode. Don't think there's a way to do that with audio tho. There really ought to be a kind of "overdub & replace" mode you can put audio clips into. But i dont think there's anyt...

Hmmm I'll try again, but it seemed the other night that if I start playing a clip using the APC clip launch button, hitting delete key didn't do anything at all (even with select on launch turned on in prefs).

I have bomes, but I don't know what message to send to Ableton. I try sending a delete or backspace key, and if I'm firing and selecting things with anything other than clicking on it with my mouse, those keys do nothing.

What key strokes should I be sending?

There must be something obvious that I'm missing here. I hit play on a clip (remotely). It activates and starts playing. Now I want to delete that clip. How do I do that without needing to use a mouse, or map specific slots? Context: Using APC40, I have my set going, i've jumped around in it, record...

Pitch Black: I've noticed some wonkiness with on/off momentary/toggle style buttons being mapped to on/off buttons in live, try changing the type of button press your midi device is sending and see if that helps. The keyboard mapping should work fine, so if all else fails, get Bomes midi translator ...
