I know all about follow actions - very fiddly and non visual - requires bar calculation and checking.
The point of extending loop length is to enable variations.
It'd be nice to stay in the session view and double the length of a drum beat - add a variation then double and add a fill at the end ...

For longer length extensions there is a quicker way.

- copy
- Change to arrangement
- select track
- paste clip
- drag to repeat 8 or 16 bars
- consolidate
- copy
- Change back to session
- select track
- paste

Seems to be a cumbersome, flow breaking, repetitive task of copying and pasting content to extend clip length in preparation for variations (doubling/quadrupling etc..).
