I had a similar experience. I always dismissed Ableton's reverb but when I ignored the presets and screwed around with it some I got some reasonable results. I still use my Solid State Logic reverb most of the time though.

Well that's it for me. I really like Ableton Live as a product but this has really put me off. 300 bucks for an upgrade to Suite and that's with 25% off. For the extra 25% I can go to the Fab Filter site and literately get all the plugins I don't already own. Looks like I'm going to be on version 8 ...

I was all set to order today when this happened. Yes I understand mistakes happen but this is a bit much to take. Abelton, wipe the egg off your face and offer the original price even if it's just for a couple of days. The price of Ableton upgrades has gotten way out of hand.

I bought it. It didn't blow me away but it's not a bad package.
