I can do tap tempo already in other things.. no interest to me, in that respect.. I'd rather just record on the fly and then it tell me the tempo AFTER I hit stop or whatver key to say end of loop :)
I know the audio is elastic , but what about midi ?
so it knows to make it say 4 or 8 bars AND ...

thanks chapelier fou. so when I stop , would it set to say 4 or 8 bars or whatever? I did see the thing with half / double time BUT it was referring to audio transients
I'm used to cubase / sonar / reason.. and find how I work in all 3 different in a good way, so thought I'd try the full live ...

I am tempted to buy live tomorrow (as it's on offer) and didn't hear back from support...
can I do the same sorta thing BUT record in using midi and triggering a VST ? I'd just like it to suss out the tempo when I hit stop..
I asked my friend who "supposedly" knows how to use live and he didn't ...
