Sounds like this is my only option; which tells me that just buying a new laptop is safer, once a hard drive starts failing, it's RIP mon amie.
Thanks for your help though

Re: Memory Corruption Detected 0x6e
Doc Jones - I ran the test (memtest86) and it came back with no errors, 100% pass. I'm assuming this means that the memory sticks are still running and are perfectly fine, if that's the case, why am I getting this error message and what else can be done?

Re: Memory Corruption Detected (0x6e)
I let memtest86 run for 2 cycles and there were no errors; 100% pass. Is there a specific way or setting to running the program?

Re: Memory Corruption Detected (0x6e)
What should I be looking for in the test results that determines RAM failure hence indicates a necessary replacement?
Which version of testmem86 shall I use?
Thanks

Memory Corruption Detected (0x6e)
I cleared my registry files, uninstalled/reinstalled Ableton, did a boot scan on my laptop, cleared bad sectors and went as far as you might imagine; however, non of the above fixed the crashing problem.
Do I need a new RAM? That's all I can think of at this point. Here are the specs of the RAM and ...

Re: Memory Corruption Detected 0x6e
Thanks for all the replies guys.
I was thinking, just upgrade my memory card and buy a new one, how's that? Because most probably, it's indeed the memory chip.

Memory Corruption Detected 0x6e
I've been running Ableton Suite 8.1.4 for quite a while now and lately I got this abrupt memory error message that reads "Memory corruption detected: Error 0x6e" causing Ableton to unexpectedly terminate within minutes of its launching.

Re: Ableton Live Sampler
I guess that will take forever with my super-fast computer.. I really wish I was able to.. I'll try posting something next week. As for your question, well, it's a synth, so essentially what I'm trying to do is create a melody which means that it will be looping; yes, but with different notes and ...

Re: Ableton Live Sampler
Your comment on my first hurdle is not something that I haven't tried, I did everything; increased decay, kept sustain at max, even increased the release a little in the hopes that it would contribute, but nothing changed. The tail of the sample is what I'm trying to sustain because apparently the ...

Ableton Live Sampler
Hey All,
I'm having quite a bit of trouble using Sampler, it's actually frustrating..
Whenever a sample synth from vengeance's library is loaded into Sampler, all problems start from there..
1 - I can't seem to sustain the tail of long notes; I either have to change the sustain mode and play ...
