Re: Re-sizable group track headers
+1 the little track overviews are not useful enough to justify the big fat minimized group tracks.

Re: Monitoring and Playback at the same Time
I realize this is very old but I need this feature. If you're using Ableton for MIDI routing you currently need double the number of tracks for playing clips and monitoring. I think it would be best implemented this way: "In" no longer mutes the output of clips. I've been using Ableton for...

MIDI CC in Ableton
What are the ways that people handle CC automation in Ableton regarding the names of the controller parameters? I would just like to conveniently see the names of the controller values but the multitude of ways each have their own drawbacks and I’m wondering what people think is the best workaround.

Re: MIDI CC output overloading my interface
I figured it out ... the issue happens when I use the Max4Live device CC Sender 16. Either the device is designed incorrectly or Max4Live outputs excessive CC messages.

MIDI CC output overloading my interface
I'm automating two CC messages to external instruments. When there's just a single envelope going it's fine. With two envelopes going, after about a bar the song slows down to like half speed. When I stop the sequencer, it's like the interface is backed up and it takes a moment for everything to act...

Mute grouped external MIDI tracks
How do I mute a group of tracks sending MIDI to external gear? It works on audio tracks but not external MIDI tracks and I don't understand why.
By the way, I don't use the External MIDI instrument because I use direct monitoring to reduce latency and simplify my studio.

Re: BCR-2000 - changing MIDI channel
To anyone finding this thread now, bat3's advice is false. You can't assign Channel 0 to any control on the BCF/BCR2000.

Re: Write "post-it notes" on a project?
I guess make a really wide track and place it off to the side. Rename the clips to make notes. Probably cumbersome and just an idea I came up with and have yet to try.

Re: export midi file with multiple midi channels?
I know this is old, but, afaik this still isn't supported and the best solution for a song with many tracks seems to be to record it into the external sequencer over a MIDI interface. Or, you know, just do it one by one, consolidating the multiple sequences into a single sequence. I think it's prett...

New to making Max4Live patchers, getting bizarre behavior
I'm getting really odd behavior when this patcher I'm working on is in a set. It's supposed to just send simple sysex commands to my Monomachine (plus I have another one for Machinedrum) and it works *sometimes*, but when it works seems almost random. It also seems capable of completely disabling MI...

Re: Oxygen 25 3rd gen
Awesome! Thank you! And I see that holding CTRL will let me still be able to arm multiple tracks when needed. Good deal.

Oxygen 25 3rd gen
Hi, I'm trying to understand something about using Oxygen25 with Ableton. When I switch tracks with the Track < > buttons ... am I supposed to end up with all tracks Armed? Seems annoying to have to unarm other tracks manually every time I switch tracks. Is it a bug, or am I just doing something wro...
