Re: The ideal sample rate / bit depth
Better to use a higher sample rate for my work. Think about it. We say there are many different sounds on a mix, but at a given moment there is only ONE sound, and what you hear are the audible range for human hearing, and for each frequency you can name, there is an amplitude. That's it! So if you ...

Korg Kontrol 49 trigger pads not sending velocity data
Dear universe, I got a used Kontrol 49. By toying with live settings, everything is working, except that the drum pads don't transit velocity information. When I navigate to the pads settings, it says velos and not "constant". Still, when I click a drum rack, the pads will automatically ma...

Re: Kontrol49 and MicroKontrol vs PadKontrol mapping to drumrack
Agree with the settings people. Thanks!
Just highlight a drum rack, then open your preferences. Toggle you "track" switch for every input that has to do with the K49. Eventually it should work. And yes, you have to "dump" first and then press exit on the K49.

Re: Ableton never gave me my training session that I earned
That kind of sucks. I'd try the phone though. Doesn't make much sense for them to deliberately fob you off. Btw, a training session for the person with the best track who probably needs it the least? Strange prize. Thanks, amigo! Just after this, they got back, so I took down my message. IT was a L...

Re: Beat The Clock Results - A Little Bit Dodgy???
Well, they successfully weeded out false votes, but they never gave me my training session. I emailed them like 6 times, they are just ignoring me. So much for integrity.

Re: IK Multimedia + Ableton Live = Crashfest..
For Anyone who is having trouble, this works for me just fine. I run Mac Lion. Use the AU version of Sampletank 2.x and save your settings as a preset. Just before mixdown, replace the AU with the VST version, it should be stable enough to do a mixdown. The VST version sounds better on my computer, ...

Re: Beat The Clock Results - A Little Bit Dodgy???
Ableton remained true to their name!! They have removed hundreds and hundreds of fake votes, changing the line-up drastically! Everybody in the top 25 only has votes they earned. Well done ableton!

Re: Beat The Clock Results
CloudClod, totally agree with you regarding Karma. Even if Ableton doesn't weed out the probably "cheaters," what do these people really get out of doing this? Not much. I loved doing the remix and the competition in general. I'm listed 258th, and if you add up all the "tied for xth ...

Re: Beat The Clock Results
Totally shady! I would say it's a lost cause but it's worth a shot, I emailed them. Ableton threatened disqualification for spamming and vote-boosting via illegal means. I have faith that they'll look into it since they have integrity as a company and saying one thing and doing another clashes with ...
