XK-12 Jog & Shuttle / X-Keys
https://xkeys.com/xk12jsh.html I was curious if anyone had experience using this Jog wheel in Ableton? If you have experience with their other products I would love to hear that too. The previous jog wheel that I had used to Shuttle & Zoom stopped working a few years back after a MAC OS upgrade...

Re: Is it possible to map midi jog wheel to transport?
I used a Griffin Powermate for several years on various versions of LIVE to control Zoom in/out (depress and turn right to left) , Stop / Start (depress) and Shuttle back and forth (turn right/left) . The mapping was done in LIVE and on some simple software that comes with the Powermate. It worked g...

Re: Mac OS High Sierra music software issues tracking thread
Looks like I'm gonna need to upgrade next week. Why? A host of reasons....my system is used commercial applications in audio post production and music. I've been on 10.8.5 for some time because of a host of various plugins I need to work. This OS has become a dinosaur for normal computer activities...

APC20 stops working??
For some reason today my APC20 KEEPS stopping on me. I have done the following: - restarted APC20 - reconnected power - changed ports on USB hub - restarted LIVE Everytime it's the same. I works for a minute then it's like it forgets it's there. The lightes stay lit up, but you can't do anything. It...

Re: Griffin Powermate
I use it for Zoom in/out, Transport right/left and Stop/Start. Works solid for the most part, but everynow and then it'll flake out and forget it's assigned to Ableton. This will happen on a start up and not during a session.

Re: OMF conversion / import
Starting to get more and more AAF's...guess video editors are sliding back over to AVID.PDSound wrote:+1 and AAF support (import export) would also be very useful.

Re: What's the most tracks you've had in an Ableton session?
depends on the lenght of the tracks i guess, and the rest you wanna use, plugins etc. Nevertheless i'd say definitly possible, i alredy had a set with about 100 tracks, on my old 1,2ghz duocore. with 4gb ram on windows 7.- worked perfectly fine. Show just grew to two hours long of 64 tracks...just ...

What's the most tracks you've had in an Ableton session?
And what are your system's specs?
I have an award show I could end mixing in Ableton (for broadcast TV) and currently they're talking about 64 tracks of audio. Anyone handle this much or more in their set-up? Possible?

Re: Notes section on a channel
It would be nice if there was a collapsable section for adding notes to a channel so that when collabing or things to remember on sounds like ideas for automation. To a channel or the session in general. If you have a couple of different versions inside a project that is being passed between people...

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
I have a fireface UC, super low latency (zero latency is impossible) in BIG projects. The total mix software is quite usefull, so fa rno problems with it, I love it. The digicheck is a big plus for me since I need to meet LKFS specs for the broadcast work. Anything else in the total mix software is...

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
Word! Thanks for the info brother. That is weird about the Logitech mouse driver...I'm pretty married to my trackball. Would be pissed it it was flaking!! Probably dropping the cash on this tomorrow as it appears the current sound card is now screwed. Are you in need of decent built in mic pres? IM...

Re: Anyone using a RME Fireface 800 on LIVE 8?
IMO audio interfaces are the one thing you really don't have to worry about being out forever. At some point Thunderbolt will take over for firewire, but there are already firewire converters with zero latency added. Live 8 Suite and Snow Leopard. Have to say I've never had an audi interface that h...
