Yes, just rename the applications so they aren't both called the same thing. On my comp, I have one called "Ableton Live 9 Suite 32bit" and the other "Ableton Live 9 Suite 64bit", both work fine.

Probably only 3 hours. The apple reported time is just for casual web browsing. Anything CPU intensive (such as Live) is going to be significantly less.

Ableton's download server has been messed up for a few days, I can't download anything either.

Create a white noise track, stick an EQ8 after the amp and adjust presence to see how it's effecting the signal. Figure out the frequencies that presence it adjusting they just adjust those frequencies within EQ8.

Probably won't help, but try a different browser, or go to Mcdonalds or Starbucks or someplace with free wifi and try the download. Might be worth a shot.

I've owned 3 three FireStudio Projects this summer. Latency isn't an issue. It comes with a a software mixer that lets you mix how much of the direct signal and DAW signal for each channel you want for monitoring, so if you mix in just the direct signal, there will be no latency.

Probably best off getting a Mac if you want firewire. Not sure how opposed you are to that option, but Apple still supports firewire via their thunderbolt>firewire adapters.

You should be able to choose your "packs" folder within Live's preference's window. Try choosing a new random location, then re-choose the folder on your desktop if that's where the packs are. And if there are missing audio files in a project, live should open the file manager and should g...
