Re: best audio driver for Mac

Core Audio is the name of the audio architecture in macOS. It is the only audio driver.

Did you check Delay Compensation? It should be off. Options > Delay Compensation
Did you try making the buffer size smaller?
Is there any pattern as to when the latency gets better or worse?

Re: Direct Monitoring with reverb with 2048 sample hardware buffer size

hi, there's a lot of audio interfaces that have onboard DSP that allow you to do the scenario you describe. however in my humble opinion (my apologies if you've already settled on this workflow for your situation for reasons i haven't thought of) this never made sense to me because I want the singer...

Re: How to make a realistic guitar sound using MIDI?

it's true, life is too short. i think everything mentioned in terms of playing like a guitarist timing etc is necessary but also probably you just need the best most modern guitar plugins which will get you 80% there with great sounds. check Ample sound, Omnisphere, East West, Ample has actually a f...

Re: Mastering DJ Mixes

Where is the mix being published? unless the volumes are really all over the place I wouldn't sweat it. If you're mixing with commercially released music these are already mastered. If the volumes are all over the place, really the best solution is to automate the volume of the mix so it's more cons...

Re: I’m an idiot - need help!

if I understand well the scenario you describe,

if you want to only use one instance of the plugin,

you could put the note that selects the correct strumming pattern in each midi clip and this would change the strumming pattern when the midi clip is launched. no?

Re: Novation SL 61 mkIII or NI Komplete Kontrol S61 mkII ?

I can say I just returned a komplete kontrol A61 to the store because the pitch-bend and mod wheels don't work properly... Few other people posted about the same issue and NI support is basically non existent: no phone support, only a forum, and the staff don't really reply regularly :( that said, I...

Re: Weird audio glitches during playback/real time export

evildaughter, Does the issue occur on a different audio interface or playback from the laptop headphone output? Because I believe the issue might be with your ultralite mk4. I've been through 2 of them in the last year and a half that all had the issues you describe and it's a widespread problem. ht...

Re: Dragging Notes Into Grid Without Offset

I'm not sure I quite know what you mean by "secret offset points". When the grid is enabled, notes should snap with a good margin of error to the nearest grid division. You can also make an off grid note snap to the grid with the arrow keys. You can enable and disable the grid by hitting Cmd+4 . Whe...

Re: Poor Audio Performance in Live with no CPU overload

hey, poor performance can be caused by so many things... When is the last time, if ever, you physically cleaned your computer ? i.e. open up the back and clean the fans out? It's pretty common for laptops to overheat and the issues you describe would fit the symptoms. Even if CPU usage isn't being m...
