Re: Just picked up RetroSynth for $15!

Hmmm... I'll look into Vector too. Retro Synths was built at Abe HQ so I'll see what exactly happened there with the subfolders. As for the samples - the Retro Synths samples folder is different than the Puremagnetik distribution. So yes, you will need to relink. Again, I apologize for the inconven...

Re: Just picked up RetroSynth for $15!

The new release might have changed the way it was done. This micro pack was one of the earlier releases for Live 6 if I remember correctly. Maybe you could send them an email over at the PM website and ask about it. Hope that helps. Thanks for looking into this fragmentated. As least I now know whe...

Re: Just picked up RetroSynth for $15!

I used to have the original live pack. If I remember the partials would be under Simpler>Puremanteic folder - not under the instrument racks folder. You should not have the browse the actual wave library. The should be saved as presets for Simpler. I don't have it installed anymore but can pull out ...

Re: Just picked up RetroSynth for $15!

Anyone found the "Library of Partials" for the P-50 mentioned in the video (approx 1:30 in) at:
http://www.ableton.com/puremagnetik

I've been looking for them, but so far haven't found them. It looks like the Library structure is a bit different from the movie to the Micropack.

Re: Visual Metronome for User 2 on Launchpad

Here is a basic tutorial that explains how to light up the various buttons in M4L which may solve your issue of the different modes:

Re: Storing data contained in "coll" objects into a .als file?

This works great! If anyone else uses this, just be sure to go to the Inspector on the "pattr" object and check "Parameter Mode Enable" in order to save the info with the Live Set.

Storing data contained in "coll" objects into a .als file?

I would like to store data that is in one or more coll objects in my Max device into the Live Set file. I can't find any way to bind coll to pattr and I am wondering how anyone else has done this? Thanks!

Re: Implementing cues in M4L : needing some help...

Just checking in to see how it's going. I'm next playing on Oct 31 and would like to get a cueing system up and running before then. I don't need the ability to jump around in the clip right now, but simply would like to be able to display a measure/beat countdown to the next section in the clip. Al...

This looks amazing! If you need someone to beta test it, I'd be happy to. Just let me know how to get it.

Re: Implementing cues in M4L : needing some help...

Crubier, this device looks like something I could use. I want to display cue points attached to my clips to remind me that a new section of the song is coming up when I'm playing along with the clips. Is it possible for you to share this device? I don't need the part that adjusts the play position, ...

Re: Thankyou for 8.1.3

Yesterday played out using 8.1.3 and it works perfectly! Two sets, no problems. I've used 8 a lot in the home studio, but till now used 7.0.18 when playing live. I feel pretty good now about removing 7 from my MacBook and using 8 exclusively. Thanks Abes!

Re: anyone completely lost with the BASICS of the Live API?

Where I am lost is in what can be done with the components returned by M4L.apl.SelectComponent from the ControlSurface object (I am using the Launchpad.) I've googled around but come up with nothing on this topic.

I saw this project which looks interesting too:

I don't have any experience with it but it might be worth a look. I wonder if anyone here has tried it?
