Re: OT: MacBookPro advice, weird square graphics appeared....

MBPs from early last year (or so) all have a manufacturing flaw in their graphics circuits.

Apple supposedly repairs it (for free) even if it's no longer under warranty, though.

Re: Juno 106 note off midi message cuts off samples

Unfortunately, the Juno-106 midi implementation is like the worst ever. Whenever you release all keys, it sends an "all notes off" message.

So, don't use it as a controller unless you absolutely have to.

Re: Anyone know a free Note Detection / Tuner Vst or AU (Mac)?

I think ST stands for semitones. But what do I know. Anyway, while it's a nice function and all, it's still pretty useless as a tuner - nowhere near enough precision.

So, I'm still looking for a free tuner plugin for OSX (au or vst).

Re: score editor!

Would be nice, but since probably 95% of the user base cannot read music anyway I don't see it happening.

Also, to be really useful You'd want a score editor to to display more than one track at a time (to do voicing etc), which would require a major overhaul of the interface.

The expectations some people seem to put on DNA is almost Obama-esquely inflated. It's a tool. From what i grasped (when it was announced) it's primarily meant to be used on single instrumental (polyphonic) tracks, not mixed-down songs.

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions

Hi Guys, I'm starting this thread to answer any questions as best I can regarding the APC40. To start off, here's a few answers from other threads: How much is it? The street prices for the APC40 should be $399 (US Map) and 449 Euro (European Street price). We'll update our website when I hear back...

Well, all the other DAWs have had vocoders for years, so i don't think ableton getting one will really make any difference...

Hey, I'm gonna buy MfL and sit back and let all the geeks make cool devices which I will use True! :-) But still... Max/MSP is a tool that has one big serious disadvantage. It's possibilities are almost endless and it's quite easy to spend months on a big project that has all the new synthesis meth...
