It is absolute shit as a VST for me any way in both logic and ableton.

so i use the standalone version with my prophet 08 but sill then sometimes it sends random stuff to the synth and it changes your settings.

Its only good for moving patches on and off your synth in my opinion.

If your are going to do your own mastering by far the best i have used is the Waves L3 16

there is a good video on Youtube of Umek using it. (futuremusicmagazine)

Very loud and precise and can also be very warm sounding

From the Genres you ave mentioned i presume you are going for Warmth. Hardware wise i am lucky enough to have an Empirical labs fatso which is great on bass and getting rid of the harshness of Digital recordings and VST's Software wise you can get just as good effects with the Waves NLS collection D...
