Using MHO Melodic DrumPads, you can have separate clips for each recording and you can edit the notes you recorded in the melodic sequencer layout – you don't have to delete it and start over again. No need for automation lane editing, nor pitch quantization.

Have you confirmed this choke behavior? You do make sense. We had another thread on here which seems to report that you’re effectively causing midi pass thru of the drum rack when you play it from an external track. But it makes sense that close/open hhats would still interact.
