I use lots of hardware synths and would love to be able to name the midiports so when I route midi I can easily and quickly select the synthesizer from the various midipatchbays.

This is something done in the other DAW's and is very useful.

This is a very useful feature that I use in Cubase 4... and have for a number of versions. If you can do it in Ableton... I've yet to find out how. I have lots of hardware synths and prefer to see them by name then have to look at a chart of 24 midi ports to synth connection when selecting. cheers S...

I'd like it to work like this... you highlight a section of midi or audio... then you can apply the envelope type (style - trianlge sine etc) and can adjust the frequency and amplitude
