Live 6 Operator Demo Song (CPU overload)

Has anyone else experienced something similar? I just downloaded Live 6 and decided to open up the "Little Demo (FX and Operators)" demo song and my computer was CHOKING! I have a Powerbook 17", 1.5Ghz, 7200RPM internal drive and 2GB of RAM and the CPU % was up over 100% nearly the en...

Operator Presets Missing

Hi, I just upgraded to Live 6 from Live 5 and while going through the tutorial for the Operator, I'm asked to select a "Lead Minor 7th", but there is no "Lead" folder in the presets and then I notice there's no "bass" folder either, which is a sound you first read about...

triggering scenes w/remote

I use Live when I perform, with my setlist lined up as scenes. The best way for me to do things up until now has been to start by highlighting the first scene and hitting return. The highlight then jumps down to the next scene automatically, so all I have to do is hit return to trigger that one and ...

trigging scenes with a footswitch

I use Live when I perform, with my setlist lined up as scenes. The best way for me to do things up until now has been to start by highlighting the first scene and hitting return. The highlight then jumps down to the next scene automatically, so all I have to do is hit return to trigger that one and ...

Thanks Inis. I'm actually pretty proficient with the programs myself. I have a friend who is not and I don't have time to teach her. Knowing what her needs are and what type of person she is, I don't think a school or books are the way to go. She has specific needs with the programs and would need o...

I will for sure be keeping my eye on that RME. As long as there are a couple of pre-amps in it, I'm alright. I trashed my VST Plug-ins and it seems to be working without a glitch now. I will report more later.

TCH - Thanks for the advice man. I will certainly try moving the plug-ins first and repairing permissions with the OSX disk. I know that the plug-ins are somehow involved in all of this glitch nonsense because whenever I delete them from the song, the problems cease. It's not even good enough to tur...

Sniffio, your fix is extremely in depth. You say you had the audio glitches after all that and switched to the RME, at which point it went away. I am having the audio glitch with both my M-Audio FW interface and my internal sound card. Given the fact that you had the glitches after such a colossal u...

Thanks Vince. Unfortunately these problems have been occurring when I use the internal soundcard as well. Actually, that's what I've been using the last three days when all this kicked up again. It definitely gets worse as the computer is on longer. I totally appreciate your advice though and have h...

I also have audio dropouts (both with internal sound and M-Audio FW 1814), which after a while on my computer creep into the song, seemingly erratic but then occurring in pretty much the same spot every time until finally a whole section of the song drops out and remains that way. I have had success...

Live 4.04 Insane crackling

I'm guessing that my computer is just crapping out. The longer I use the program (in one sitting), the more problems that seem to arise. What's really strange though is that only certain sections of the song are being affected and it has nothing to do with the amount of stuff being processed at that...
