You wouldn't notice any difference. You can use any plug that you are comfortable with. The processing part would just be a tiny difference as well.

If you are going to provide tutorials it is always best that you provide some sort of visual reference aside from words. Media such as clips and pictures would surely help to let other people understand each individual step in your tutorial

Make sure that you get the consent of the author of that original piece of music. This is not unusual since there already are a lot of people that need partnerships with re-mixers to improve a single piece of music.
