Worked for me but didn't stop Live crashing unfortunately.

This issue is a real pain and has prevented me from using Live 8 with Win 7. I have run DPC latency checker and when these crashes occur there is no evidence of audio dropout. Here's a fix to stop the CPU load meter fluctuating wildly when using Live 8 under Windows 7 -
