Re: New Apple machine with 8th Gen i7 (Mac mini) running badly
I'm having issues on the same machine (well, I have 32GB ram and 1tb ssd).... I drop in one instance of Soundtoys decapitator for example and suddenly my cpu is at 3%. (Decapitator is supposed to be fully supported on Mojave) Very disappointing as I'd really like to get to work but now it seems ther...

Yamaha 01v system software loader problem
I know this isn't a Yamaha site but they don't seem to have a forum like this and I just thought I'd see if anybody has come across this. Sounds critical..... when I switch on my 01v a page comes on the screen saying 'System Sofware Loader' 'current version:>>no data' and there are 4 boxes saying 't...

Nice bouncy electronics! Love it, especially Fightclub demo. Maybye the breakdown could be a bit shorter if I give any constructive criticism (and it is a minor quibble). Don't want to stop the dancefloor for too long! Nice to see this stuff coming from Scotland. Tomas, liked your stuff too. Minimal...

Yep, definetely better to put it on the external hard drive. If you have it on the computers hard drive, it makes the needle that reads the drive skip around much more, since it is already doing a lot of work with software, operating systems etc. Pro Tools suggests that you should always keep all th...

Thanks, 'adaptive grid' did the trick. That's been bugging me for ages! I couldn't see this because I was always right clicking with midi notes highlighted. Sorted now though!! One more question though, what is the difference between 'fixed grid' and 'adaptive grid'? Also, thanks for the help, but C...

MIDI GRID IN LIVE 6
This may seem a fairly simple problem but I can't seem to get round it. I hope someone has the solution.... When you edit midi notes in Live 5, zooming in gives you a tighter grid to snap to. Live 6 just seems to give me the same grid (16ths) no matter how much I zoom in. Is this user error and if s...

Yeah, I did as described above and lo and behold, the pads worked for Trigering the drums/samples in Impulse..... only on Axiom setting 18 I might add. I'm sure you know but you change Axiom settings by hitting 'recall' then + or -. Try recording in a midi track (not with Impulse) and seeing which m...

dionroy, this is my first post, just for you... Ok, I've overcome the same problem, this is how I did it. By the way, this was for the full version of Live 6, I hope it is the same for Live Lite.... Go to http://www.ableton.com/livepacks and download 'Axiom Tutorial'. Click on the dowloaded file (wh...
