I'm having issues on the same machine (well, I have 32GB ram and 1tb ssd).... I drop in one instance of Soundtoys decapitator for example and suddenly my cpu is at 3%. If everything is working sweet, why risk changing it? I know there is all sorts of problems with leopard on the pro tools and even logic forums. I'd say wait until you are really sure it will work without any glitches.
