With pure data and iac driver it's very simple to achieve this kind of operation... See midi objects help files.

maybe i'm the only one but i dont need any 3rd party devices in my midi track for Live to crash while duplicating a track. usually just having a something like a drum rack and an effect on it and then duplicating that track will cause it to crash. me too! it randomly occurs with au vst or ableton's...

With Live 7.0.3 & some instruments, program crashes when i try to duplicate a midi track.

i'd like to switch to Sampler, but i have some questions...

1) I have 2 kontakt library (Synth and Studio drums) i'd like to use in Sampler. Are these libs imported correctly?

2) Can Sampler read akai disks and import akai programs?

2- this already exists in Live 6 - drag the mixer section up and you get the value boxes and peak value boxes Ok, i've seen! Thanks! [What a lamer...:-(] 4- I also have wished for better loop recording. But another poster recently made me realize that the Ableton way of doing it is maybe not so bad...

2- Track volume number boxes near the fader also in session view (to type your level into)
