TIP - Tuning Kick Drums The Easy Way
Just tuned my entire kick drum library with Mixed In Key 8. I manually tuned a bunch in Sampler to check the work of MIK8 and every single kick sample was correctly key / note detected.

What Happened To The Pre-Analysis Command?
What happened to the pre-analysis command in Live 9? You used to be able to right click a folder of tracks from the Live browser and select "Analyze." It even says you can still do this in the user manual that came with Live 9. Page 61, 5.2.3 - File Pre-Analysis. Does anyone know? Thanks

Default Simpler Problem
Hello All,
I can't figure this out. I changed the default Simpler a while back and now when loading up a drum rack, every pad just says, "Simpler." Can anyone tell me how to get it to say the name of the sample like it used to?
Thanks a lot!!

Project won't open
I just closed a project after working on it and when I tried to re-open it, it just crashes. Is there a way to open Live with plug-ins disabled? Any remedy is welcome as I really need to open this project.
Thanks!!!
Mac, latest version of Live (tried opening it with 8.2.7b with no luck)

AU Manager....?
Does anyone know of an Audio Units manager that would let you put AU's in custom folders such as your most used? I saw one on-line but it's out of production. Is this something I can do myself or by re-arranging my AU's this will mess up how my Mac and Ableton finds them? Thanks for your help I do n...

Re: Problems with MPK49
I had the exact same problem. The unit never left my studio but Akai would not honor any sort of warranty. Now I have a $400 piece of trash in my closet. It's a software problem for me but as we all know, Akai isn't always the quickest to fess up to any issues with their latest products. Those being...

Re: No feedback on the templates I posted?
I understand what you mean. I did stress that it was for beginners who don't know how to mix harmonically yet, or for people who just bought MIK. I thought my FX Rack was quite transparent when played through my system. I check it by simply turning it on and off during play back. I will have to look...

Re: 8GB of RAM on a MacBook Pro. Will I notice a big difference?
Yeah, I kinda figured that after doing some research. At least it isn't the dumbest thing I've spent $130 on. I use Logic 9 as well and I've been playing around with the 64 bit mode. I also run Fusion with Windows 7 for just a couple small things. Will it at least help with running apps in 64 bit? I...

Thanks for the quick reply. Now does that apply to all 32 bit apps?

8GB of RAM on a MacBook Pro. Will I notice a big difference?
I just purchased Crucial 8GB DDR3 Memory for my MacBook Pro but I have yet to install it. Anyone out there that can tell me if I'll notice a difference in speed and multi-tasking? In 2008, I upgraded from 2GB to 4GB of RAM and I didn't really notice a big difference.
Thanks !!!!!

HARMONIC MIXING TEMPLATE FOR DJs
This .zip file contains a template for mixing DJ sets harmonically and a copy of The Camelot Wheel. Check out Mixed In Key online if you're not familiar with the harmonic mixing concept. The template is more or less designed to easily make DJ promo mixes. The Arrange Page has markers every 32 beats ...

BASIC NIGHT CLUB DJ RACK
Just wanted to share this RACK with anyone new to LIVE as a DJing tool. Having started DJing with vinyl in the 90's, I made this Rack that in my opinion best emulates a traditional analog DJ mixer. Open the Info View for the low-down. I gave each EQ band a slight boost when turned all the way up as ...

Re: .asd files.....UGHHHHH!!!
I've organized my tracks in a folder structure before but with my library growing every day, I decided to use iTunes since it allows you to sort your tracks in so many ways. This isn't an on-going problem, I just thought that the guys at Ableton could maybe comment on the future of asd files.

.asd files.....UGHHHHH!!!
I really don't understand asd files. Sometimes when I move a track and it's asd file, my warp markers are gone. I always save after adding warp markers. I'm now making a new iTunes library with just DJ tracks instead of using a folder structure. Could the engineers at Ableton somehow embed the asd i...
