Re: WHY DOES ABLETON ALWAYS DO THIS?!
Yes, that is annoying. What I do is 'Save As' to a new location, like to your desktop. Then do a 'Collect All and Save'. That always works for me. My brother and I have had that same problem many times and it seems to always happen when I 'Collect All and Save' in the original project folder. Maybe ...

Re: Using Utility to Remove Kick Drums from a Track
You could also try (with varying levels of success) removing the kick in the original track by dropping another kick on a separate channel and using the Utility plugin to invert the phase. This will work better if the original track is electronic music (especially the drums), inverting an acoustic k...

Re: Headphones v's Monitors
Definitely the headphones! Especially since your ears are already tuned in to how music sounds on them. I've gone through a few pairs of KRKs. They are good for the price, but they are still low end monitors (at least the Rokits), and they do color the sound. When it comes time to do your mixes and ...

Re: M4L territory? ("Highest note to device X, lowest to Y")
As he said, M4L would be one option. You could also setup an instrument rack w/the 3 different string instruments on 3 different chains and then map them to three different zones on your midi keyboard. You wouldn't be able to play your chords quite like you described, but you could probably get clos...

I love my Sennheiser MK 4. Great sounding condenser for vocals IMO. I picked mine up for just under $300.

Re: traktor to ableton - recording lag
There are going to be tempo fluctuations when you're syncing these two programs. I've never been able to achieve a solid enough sync between the two. Truthfully, I've never been able to get a solid enough sync between Live and any other program, as master or slave. That said, my setups are geared mo...

Re: Conflict with APC 40 + S4 Midi using Ableton AND Traktor
Check your midi controller settings in traktor and disable the app maybe... Been using 2 launchpads and a uc33 with live and an s4 for traktor with no problems.

Re: Sync Traktor with ableton metronome fuck up
Check your global bpm settings in Traktor. Make sure you have your decks synced to the master clock (this is not the default), otherwise the tempo will change, even slightly, with different tracks. As the slave, Live will inherently struggle to keep up with these changes. I use these two programs to...

Re: noob questions
Yes, all of this can be done. Both will launch MIDI and audio clips. I would avoid connecting your interface through a bus if possible, but if you don't have a choice I'm sure it will still work. I'm not familiar with that interface. You can easily launch clips and control a drum rack just using the...

Re: Why cant i do this? (explantion inside)
if u draw qtr notes or eighth notes or sixteenth across the clip it will trigger the notes more frequently. that may work better, though it still wouldnt be seamless.

Re: Is this too good to be true?
looks legit. i've bought from novamusik before, not through ebay, but they are a great dealer. they always have nice package deals like that. check out their website, novamusik.com. they usually have the same deals listed there as what they put up on ebay.
