Re: Free Eventide multi effect plugin

Hey, got it. Now I have TWO non-ilok FX that I haven't installed and don't use  I finally bit the bullet and got the iLok manager(because of Omni Studio and UVI). I went ahead and licensed the UltraChannel and will give it a go. One good thing all the modules are moveable and not static which ...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

I thought this thread was about Bitwig?...and the "Migration"? you ALL need to tone it down a few notch's. This he said she said BS is getting down right annoying, not to mention the PILING ON of the self appointed defenders of justice taking sides and fanning the flames higher. Get over i...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

Sports team mentality I guess... Although before Bitwig was released to the faithful adopters it was if it was the coming of a new era in DAW functionality in which all DAW's would take heed and implement what was "New" and "Innovative" in order to keep up with the "Messiah&...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

Don't understand all the fuss about Live lacking this n that. I tried all the other DAWs and they drove me mad. People say you can't master on Live but I had a go and it worked fine. No fuss, just DAW envy. As long as there is an Interwebs these debates will rage on about these sorts of things. Som...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

I have no idea about their current sales, but maybe you do? If not, you really can't know they would have fared better... What difference does it make if what is mentioned in my response matches hypothetical or current Sales? I know myself I wouldn't be interested in purchasing it in it's current s...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

There was no 50% off sale, the most I saw was 5%, nothing really when you figure in the total price.

If they did have a half off sale that would have fared a lot better for them given the "Actual" value of the product as it stood when it was released.

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

I figured that was coming.

The good thing I guess would be the better Bitwig gets the more Ableton will have to step up to the plate to compete, with all fanboism aside.

Nothing is perfect isn't it.

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

edit, n/m, I don't want to get caught up in this again. Everyone should be entitled to their opinion. I don't think that just because it doesn't "agree" with someone that it's automatically not valid. Too late, your already blocked quoted in my response... should I edit that for you? Whet...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

I agree. Why would I want something that does a couple of nifty "new" features but mostly misses the boat? Not for 400 bucks. Reaper? Tracktion? I can see someone getting in on the ground floor with those. Though reaper doesn't update as much as it once did, it's still a bargain even if y...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

The comparison of bitwig one IS reasonable to live in it's current state. They have had years to get it right. So, bBitwig has had roughly 3 years while Ableton has had 14. Yeah that's comparable all right. I can't let this go by without saying something, I know I shouldn't but I will anyhoo.... Di...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

(shrug) Well, only bitwig has the vision of linux and the gold standard it brings to the audio world (I know people are just waiting in line for that) Anybody who has ever worked in Linux knows it's an ongoing experiment just running that OS. The Kernel is an evolving cyclops of unending freely mod...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

Please. Saying rewire is old and outdated and not important is like saying midi is old outdated and not important. True, but honestly MIDI is old and outdated. There are better solutions, but we have an existing ecosystem. Rewire wise, if Bitwig Studio offered full plug in and MIDI capabilities to ...

Re: Ableton should license harrison mixbus as an add on mixer.

You know for the performance aspect of Live I think the way it is set up now is about right, just a drop down arrow and all your plugins are displayed with all of their settings not to mention the Macros. I think a regular mixer may really defeat the real purpose of Live by adding an unnecessary lay...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration

And yeah, it is buggy, missing features important to me and I would not want to rely on it solely and have not purchased it... I can still appreciate what it is doing well... It has a lot of promise! One of the things that Bitwig really makes painfully obvious is the way ReWire has become old and o...
