Like so many other people, I can't get this thing to work properly under winXP. I tried all of the workarounds in this article: http://thoughtyard.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/MOTUUltraLiteTechReview but it still goes crazy several times a day. So I'm going to have to sell this thing and go back to using...

Under WinXP, this problem seems to occur in one of two ways: 1) Randomly. Out of nowhere, on an idle machine, the box goes nucking futs. 2) When opening another audio app, such as iTunes or quicktime player, while Live is opened. I have no grounds for speculating here, but if I had to guess it seems...

I have experienced this problem often, and maybe I can shed some new light on the issue. When this happens to me, it is ONLY when I am using the top note on my 73-key keyboard as a MIDI tap tempo button, and I'm tapping the beat to keep live in sync with my drummer as I am recording him into a track...

Damn, there really is NO viable workaround. Navigating through clips using the arrow keys (or MID I controllers mapped to arrow keys) just isn't going to cut it. I am glad to hear that they are working on it, but: - My inquiries directly to Ableton about this have gone unanswered (I am a paying cust...

I don't know why I didn't think of this before. The recent post about Kid Beyond using MIDI translator made me realize that perhaps a work-around is possible using keyboard mapping to trigger slots, instead of MIDI mapping. Set up a set so that different keys on the computer keyboard trigger clip sl...

Agreed. The ability to select a clip upon MIDI launch is an essential feature. It is present in Live3. I tried Live4, but they had removed that feature (without mentioning it anywhere, to boot!). Fast forward to the Live5 beta. I was a beta tester, and was thrilled to see that it was back. But by th...

Absolutely agree this is needed. How about a flexible midi mapper buit into Live itself to do what we now have to do with midi-ox/midi-yoke? Yes, some more control over MIDI would be nice (for instance, limit the range of a MIDI controller). But let's not get ahead of ourselves - much of the MIDI c...

Deleting selected clip via MIDI
It would be nice if Live allowed users to map a MIDI message to the "delete clip" function. I currently have to lean over to the computer and tap the "delete" key after fudging it during a clip recording. I realize there are 3rd party utilities (MIDI-OX, controlAID, etc) that can...
