so for the record, or anyone who's curious:

the set was bangin'. they had wi-fi there and i downloaded live 8. live 8 worked perfectly.

in my experience, snow leopard+live 7 = crash city. snow leopard+live 8 = match made in heaven

and also for the record, live 8 runs MUCH more smoothly and ...

worst case scenario i use itunes, but that sucks...... :/
i suspect my apc40 has something to do with this weird equation. since i've disconnected it no crashes.. yet.

i've got a gig in about ONE HOUR and i upgraded to 10.6 snow leopard last night. ever since, live has been behaving like a madman! it cannot stay open for more than five minutes without crashing. i have live 7. as a last ditch effort, i have purchased and am downloading live 8 as we speak ...

My friend and I both DJ using Ableton Live. We are doing a party in Jan, and are thinking of starting a band. We want to be able to perform in the booth together, flawlessly running and syncing two laptops running Live.
