Sorry if I'm trolling/resurrecting an old post but this method of disabling all the VST plugins allowed me to open a remix project from 2012 today. Thanks for sharing this tip.

Getting fussy ableton files to load is an issue I've had off and on. I'll agree that taking some or all of your vst's offline to a disabled folder is a good method. Also, I've had success with starting Live with the Audio disabled. Sometimes that seems to work with old projects, or projects that ...

Yea, I sent in the issue via email with several 'crash' files right when 8.22 came out. Also spoke to them on the phone - their only suggestion was to reinstall the drivers for my sound card. Of course I've done that 3 times now. Only thing left to do is rebuild my system, and that takes a hell of a ...

I'd like it if the next release of Ableton Live gave me back functionality that was taken away with the 8.22 release. Specifically, the ability to toggle between 2 distinct stereo pairs 1/2 and 3/4 on my Echo Audio soundcard. This stopped working on 8.22. Don't even get me started on all the issues ...
