Over 1 year later and still "useless" as far as I can tell. Have I missed something?

I would love to see some alternative ways to step sequence melodic ideas, and ones similar to Elektron machines.

Basically, just input melodic steps similarly to sequencing steps for a drumrack. Then, to change pitch/note, hold down the note/pad and twist a knob to find the desired pitch. Like ...

I currently use an Elektron Rytm. But I would probably sell it if I could get the same tight and focused workflow in Ableton/Push 2.

Right now, Ableton Push 2 are unbeatable for ease of use in sampling, chopping, etc. But I think drum synthesis is still lacking a bit.

I too was disappointed with the 9.5, VST Push changes... I expected to be able to group and name parameters...
I think this is reasonable to expect on a controller priced as Push 2 is, so I hope this is the start not the end of the VST improvements.

if those banks of 8 appeared just as chains do in racks currently – re-nameable, re-orderable and midi-mappable banks for quick blue-hand bank switching ...

When I was on Live 32 bit, M4L was absolutely unusable. Constant crashes and slooooow behavior. Endless amounts of spinning beachballs on the mac. Upgraded to 64 bit... everything works fine.

Won't work for everybody's situation, I'm sure. But it may help somebody. Good luck.

Just wanted to quickly chime in and say this is the exact wish I have also. The fact that it's not implemented yet is a huge reason for me not buying Push 2, yet. Come one Ableton. Seems like this weakness sticks out like a sore thumb, imo.

I had to go to Preferences > Library, and reset the Location of User Library.

For me I had to hit Browse and go to Users/myname/Music/Ableton/User Library/

For some reason, not sure if it was updating to 9.2.1 or installing Elektron ...
