I was wondering if anyone could explain to me why I can't map a switch (as in the scene button) to be a Track stop button in Live if I set it's mode to groupmaster , but I can if I set it to trigger ? I set up all 16 pads to be grouped into columns that represent four tracks with four clips containe...

Which of these HD's would you prefer?

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Seagate/ST9250421AS/ or http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0A57546/ or any other suggestions. Looking to optimize Live performance for dj'ing and production (lots of tracks, VST's, midi control etc) ? - how does the HD cache size affect Live performance? ? - how bi...

MIDI/SYNC nightmare - PK

Greetings, I've been using Live for about a year and a half now and love it love it love it! Around 6 months ago I bought a PK to use as a controller with the hopes of finding a way to hack it and use it natively. After saying no to some decent options out there, Farmpad came along and has my mouth ...

Soon to be back in Van soon (god can't wait). Been rolling with Live for only a year and half now, but look upon X-mas time as our 2-year anniversary. Though i still have a few things to sort out, i know exactly how I want to work it. ie. farmmofoinpad!!

Would be cool to share Live stories.
Best,

Appreciate the heads up Z but i think you're right. I just bought my Live 7 upgrade and had it running within minutes. Figured it was best to stop beating around the bush in denial and just get the damn thing!! The $249 deal that slipped out of my hands hurt, but now I feel like a man possessed, loc...

Zevo, cheers for the replies. I have LIVE LITE 5, forgot to mention. I guess i'm SOL. The cost to buy a full version of 6 most likely would be over the price of my current available upgrade, so I may as well bite the bullet and buck up. Do you know if the current prices for Live 7 will go up in the ...

I wonder then why they are still advertising buying and unlocking Live 6 on the pricing page. Since Live 7 has been released, the January 31, 2008 deadline seems to apply now only to those who have bought live 6 but still need to unlock it. Where else am i to purchase a downloadable upgrade? Ableton...

Thanks for the reply Pasha. I tried what you suggested and I still come up with the same $349. On the pricing page http://www.ableton.com/pricing it says : All users who buy and unlock their Live 6 or Live 6 upgrade between October 1, 2007 and January 31, 2008 are eligible for a free download upgrad...

upgrading confusion

Happy New Years. Before the release of Live 7, there were some great offers for upgrading to Live 6. For myself, it would have cost in the neighborhood of $249US to upgrade from my Lite 5 to Live 6 (download version) and then apparently free to Live 7 once it was released. Before Jan.1, i checked to...

Mulitiple Files in Browser

Hi there. Been using Live 6 demo for a while now and plan on purchasing an upgrade to the full version soon.... real soon! Right now I'm deciding on a midi controller and a soft synth so currently I use Ables just to mix mp3's. but one problem i've had is that i have multiple track file listings in ...

The Emperor Machine may be worth checking out. IMO, sounds like a 1970's sci-fi tv show soundtrack mixed up with funky itlao beats and sweet sounding analog synths. Quality stuff. Colder has been a favorite for me since I first heard though depressing as fuck sometimes! Guess thats why i like it. &q...
