what setting is it to match acapella's with house/dance beats?

Whenever I try clicking on New Live Set instead of getting a blank starting area, it loads part of my previous project and when I manually clear everything and click and drag new songs in, the program doesn't want to seem to work properly =(. Whenever I try to open a New Live Set the defaults aren't loaded and I'm stuck with my previous project. I've been so frustrated at this and I don't know what to do. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me out.
