Finally upgrading from LIve 8 LIte to Suite but I have ????s
I just made a purchase from zZounds for my Suite 8 upgrade and they state that since I purchased it now, I have up until March 31st to upgrade it further to Live 9. I have a desktop with Windows XP, and a laptop with Windows 8. Would I have access to Live 8 for my windows xp and Live 9 to windows 8?...

Maximizing my productivity in Live 8 Lite
Can anyone tell me how many clips I'm able to use, in total, in Ableton Live 8 Lite? I just discovered how to use this feature, despite having this for 6 months, and would like to know what's the max amount before I head in too far on a project...thanks

Re: Is Ableton really for Electronic Musicians?
I'd say someone who can read music and understand the language is a musician. One who uses musical instruments to convey what they feel is an artist. And if four guys pick up instruments and suck at them and can't write good songs, then they're not artists nor musicians, just dudes that named themse...

Re: Is Ableton really for Electronic Musicians?
Got it, I had my nanoKontrol hooked up and I haven't properly set it up and for some reason, it was keeping it on record on the 1st track and not letting me record others.

Re: Is Ableton really for Electronic Musicians?
I have a track that's stuck on record, I can't push record on other tracks. It just keeps lighting up the record button on the 1st track. why is that?

Re: Is Ableton really for Electronic Musicians?
If i'm not making an electronic song, how do these "music clips" benefit me? I'm trying to write something right now and I copy a 4 measure clip to the arrangement view but notice it gets out of sync. Why is that? I record for 4 measures and stop, then copy/paste past those four measures, ...

Korg NanoKontrol 2 setup to Ableton
I'd like help with this, I can't figure it out and the manual the Korg NanoKontrol2 comes with seems extremely limited in its "troubleshooting" rhetoric. I've downloaded the driver, my system recognizes the controller. I've gone into preferences and placed Control Surface: MackieControl --...

Re: Is Ableton really for Electronic Musicians?
I know it has just about everything an electronic musician looks for in a DAW but I have this tendency to write what I feel on a whim from electronic type sounds to rock to orchestral and I was wondering if this is the DAW that's ideal to write on a whim? I've been using Ableton Live 8 Lite and I s...
