Has anyone successfully controlled TR-8 with Push?
I would like to program and sequence my TR-8 using Drum Racks and Push. I've tried various pre-made racks but can't get any of them to work - it's something in my settings that's obviously not setup correctly. Has anyone successfully, done this and could you let me know how you went about it? What M...

Right out the box with no tweaking.Tarekith wrote:Have you tried adjusting the settings at all, or is this right out of the box with no tweaking?
But the issue is with individual pads rather than all of them together.
I'll try tweaking the settings to see if it changes anything and will report back

Re: Anyone else find the Push 2 unplayable?
I have also noticed an issue with my pads. Playing low velocity pad chords and noticed that every now and then one of the notes are being picked up at all (pad not lighting up either. Had to record a pass a few times until I was happy with it (or ended up manually doing it with the mouse - not ideal...

How to record external synth parameter automation using Push
I have a MIDI clip in arrangement view running for pretty much the entire track length. It is sending MIDI signals to my external synth. Now, I would like to record some automation throughout the whole track using my Push 2. I presume that I need to assign the parameters that I'd like to automate to...

Re: Can't see TR-8 in my External Instrument
I'm trying to use DrumRacks with my TR-8 and have downloaded a few different racks for this purpose. However, I can't get any of them to work due to not being able to see the TR-8 in the MIDI output box in the External Instrument. Any ideas what settings I need to have checked in Preferences for th...

Melodic ambient techno - produced using Operator only
Produced this solely using Ableton's Operator synth - drums, pads, everything.
Made me really have to concentrate on each part and I feel this has led to one of my better pieces.
Your thoughts are always welcome

Dubby chilled techno jam
My first crack at recording something much more spontaneous, and I'm really happy with the results Drone, chords and keys created using Waldorf Rocket. Random bleepy sounds created using Korg ER-1. Arrangment and automation all performed live using Push. Edited down afterwards to a more listenable l...

Volume of library samples too loud!!
Is there a way of reducing the volume of the samples in the library when auditioning them?
Default is way too loud and I have to turn my mixers volume down when auditioning sample which then kills the vibe of my playing track.

Re: Drum Patterns
I think I know the book you're talking about. I bought a couple drum patterns books on Amazon and they were both very dated. However, it was a great tutorial for learning about drums if (like me) you know nothing at all. But if you already understand the theory behind drum beats and kits, here are ...

Re: Verb, Delay, etc – what else can Return channels be used 4?
Q: what can return channels be used for? A: FEEDBACK!!!! Enable the sends to themselves and create an effects feedback matrix where, say, a delay feeds into a reverb which then feeds into a beat repeat which then feeds an auto filter which then feeds into... yup... Whatever you first had. Bung a fe...
