Dummy clips with automation on a utility sounds like an easy way to do it.

Is there a way to make macro knobs work in steps instead of a smooth transition?

For example I am using a Pitch midi effect I would like it to only change in steps of octaves from say -36 st to -24 to -12 etc. Without going to the values in between.

When you are "limiting" your track, do you turn the gain knob up at all or are you just throwing a limiter on it doing nothing to it. Could you give me some advice as to what compressor I would use for the drums? And could you tell me more about the drum processing tools because I have never heard of them and I am wondering what they do, even given the probably self explanitory name. I am interseted.

For the scene stopping, I would think that if you were to add a "stop" follow action to each of the clips this should stop them when they finish.

With the automap software provided from Novation you can change the values, but that is the only way that I know of.
