When MIDI notation programs came out, sessions musicians put them down When mod tracker programs came out, MIDI notation users put them down When software samplers came out hardware samplers put them down When...

However, if you want to do things like low-latency sound, you do need low level access, for the sound drivers.. So if the sound driver you're using is buggy, your system becomes less reliable. However, the same bugginess that occurs in a Windows sound card driver could just as easily exist in a Mac...

OOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKK...... OS aside... (here comes the dumb fuck question) are the memory management models mac and pc specific??? Yes and no. Vista's UAC and privilege escalation stuff is more like OSX than WinXP's was/is. The reason WinXP crashes a lot is that usually when you're using WinXP at hom...

Just experimenting with it this past week, works well with Maple Midi Driver, don't have the Midi Yoke since (not sure) it don't work on Win Vista. Pretty good tool when you're in lack of inspiration and want something happening to give you new directions. You need to setup Operator to respond to t...

Just a note, you shouldn't need to run it with Midi Yoke or stand-alone to make this work.. Just run it on it's own MIDI track as a VST and redirect the MIDI to your operator track.. Should work fine. -n should, but doesn't, afaik. Man. Now you're going to make me download the ensemble, get operato...

so, I was pretty tired last night, incredibly tired in fact, and after I'd cooked some dinner and stared blankly at the wall for a little bit as my body subliminally tried to shut down, I came upstairs to try my new mic and the Serato record I'd received in the post, only to find I couldn't quite f...
