I also am experiencing this bug:

OS: OSX 10.5.4
Live version: 8.0b2

Use Case:

1) Start live and a new project
2) Drag Analog from Live Devices list to MIDI channel
3) Keyboard input will produce sound as expected
4) Modify the filter with the drop-down menu to the right of the 'Fil1' button ...

Does anyone use this as a midi controller for Live rather than with Tracktor Scratch or similar? I want quasi turntable function without Scratch and I like the jog wheels.

Reaktor as standalone can do OSC, not as VST -- but otherwise yeah, it can do all sorts of crazy MIDI routing stuff. Reaktor 4 is at a bit ...
