that might be due to the resampling of the audio file. if resampling audio at higher rate in Live produces so many artifacts, that's worrisome. I rarely record at >44.1, so never noticed this before. For a clean sine sweep at any project sample rate use the test tone plugin from this freeware effec...

I personally am happy with the sound of aliasing... well, this is about a potentially broken implementation of oversampling in overdrive. if it does not work as expected (which i think i found prove for) it should be fixed. true, but what's the expected behavior? I didn't even find any menti...

Also -- I just listened to (and looked at) the swept sine sample without overdrive played back at 192kHz, and there is a whole lot of aliased lower frequency content added that wasn't there at 44.1. Not sure what this means, but it's kind of more disturbing than the original overdrive issue...

oversampling within the devices in realtime audio works at multiplications of the soundcard operating frequency, not the sampling frequency of the recorded waves. correct Try the example file - with your soundcard at 44.1, and see if the device created harmonics reflect back down when they hit 22kh...

I think this is related to the way very short warped clips in Live have this "jump" to a fixed minimum length, and then you can't reduce their size by dragging the edge (but you can do it with splitting/cutting). Here's a video of what I'm talking about (at first I am dragging the right ed...

that's the movie after which I actually started respecting Bale a little, primarily for the laudable self-emaciation effort.

To be fair to bale, i suppose it must be annoying having someone do that. We dont know the context i suppose, maybe he had already professionally talked to McG about it or indeed the DP himself. And this was the last straw. on the other hand if he hadn't and had just exploded without any prior warn...

I wasn't saving those sets, but I'll do that from now on, whenever I encounter a problem. There's still some oddness in 8b6 for sure. Here is one example (the clip on the right is at first warped, then unwarped).

sending bug snapshot for this.

snipped from another site: The DP on TERMINATOR SALVATION, Shane Hurlbut, is a apparently a light tweaker. He's a fairly young DP and likes to fiddle with his lights on set during action, which is a big "NO NO" on most productions unless worked out in advance with performers. But apparent...

mmm, however you calculate it, -6db comes out to a little over 0.5 in amplitude (or a little over 0.25 in power) ratio. just saying.

When there is enough material, the crossfade is created for the entire time selection, otherwise it's adapted to what's available, without throwing an error message, which would come as annoying. May I lock this thread? Regards, Amaury Thanks, yes it's clear now. I guess one could work around by co...
