Re: 10 is announced!

A lot of those workflow improvements will be really useful for me and the way I work. Slip editing in particular, and also that automation view might stop me fucking up my automation every 10 minutes! Those will fix lots of little issues for me. But I'm surprised they didnt do the big thing in arra...

Re: Live 32-bit to be discontinued

Yes, this is unfortunate for those of us who are invested in the legacy plugins that we've used in various porojects over the years. I've tried various options using jbridge, and found that the most optimal solution for me was to continue using the 32-bit host while bridging some 64-bit as well as m...

Re: So, how long have YOU been using Ableton Live?

Since v3. I have to admit, I made some of my best -- and most quickly completed -- tunes with that version.

Re: High End Monitors

Out of curiosity, is there a reason you are not considering ADAMs? If the S2X's are out of your budget, a possible alternative (depending on room/style of music/work habits, etc) might be a pair of S1X's with a sub.

new Live 9 beta: latency compensated automation... and no XP

From the release notes:

"Automation and Modulation are now fully latency compensated."

"Dropped compatibility for Windows XP and Vista, OS X 10.5 and 10.6."

Discuss.

Re: Ableton Live 10

BEING ABLE TO LOAD MULTIPLE PROJECTS (e.g. separate tabs). Bitwig does this :D I know, that was their biggest selling point for me personally. So does Reaper, etc. I do love Live and have used it daily for years, but sometimes this lack of attention to essential time-saving functionality like this ...

That and proper multi-take comping. Been waiting for those for 10 years now. C'mon.

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...

The tabs on the top of the bitwig screen, I guess this means it can load multiple songs. That's something which will be very useful, I often need to construct alternative arrangements. This has been the single most glaring omission from Live for eons for me -- and, I suspect, anyone whose live set ...

Re: Best USB-powered audio interface with >=4 inputs and outputs

What kind of latencies are you guys getting with Komplete Audio 6? Workable audio buffer settings as well as the total real-life latency (including the safety buffer)? Any driver issues (there've been reports of noise/crackles in some DAWs)?

love the forum armchair coding.
I haven't seen the current code.
I'm obviously guessing.
The guess is based on my hypothetical understanding of Live's architecture and on having seen a whole lot of other code.

Re: 8.2.2 just as buggy as ever

bounce your Live 8 stuff to audio, import into Live 7. you can also have an instance of each open so you could visually compare one set to the other. an interim version? no way that will happen. they need to fix 8 and come up with compelling features for Live 9, not to mention juggle the other ball...

Re: 8.2.2 just as buggy as ever

Confirmed (sadly). Once in a while I get out of Live 7.0.18 (which is pretty stable for me) and try to start a serious project in the current version of L8, only to get bogged down in crashes down the road. I guess I should just stop wasting my time with it; problem is, there are now a bunch of unfi...
