Hi golemus,

Could you tell us more about what you like there?

Thanks,

Re: Arrangement View Selection, Loop Selection Area PLEASE READ!

Hi TheBlock, I'm not sure I understood your wish. Here is what I understood: You would like to work with the keyboard to precisely tweak the time selection (so that it starts and ends at exactly the right location). However, in Live, when using the keyboard, you can only extend or shorten the select...

Re: And what about tempo automation?

Hi Timbeaux,

In the arrangement view, the tempo automation is controlled
by the master track. Just make it a little higher, and you
should see the automation choosers. Choose Mixer / Song Tempo.

Hope this helps,

Re: Survey? Really?

Hi guys, Let me chime in about the survey that we've built into Live 8 and Live 9. It works like a little 5-star rating system: with 2 clicks, you rate and send us the result, or you can dismiss it with 1 click. At the moment, it does not appear again if you've answered or dismissed it, but we may d...

Re: Does audio to midi work for anyone?

OK, the second recording was better. The results still needed some work, so here's what I did: - Converted Melody to new MIDI track - Panned audio hard left and MIDI hard right (makes it easier to hear missing notes) - Wherever a note was missing, I went to audio clip and either added a transient or...

Re: Does audio to midi work for anyone?

Hi sowhoso, I take it this is a recording of yourself playing the guitar, right? The results are indeed not easy to work with. When I listen to the audio, it strikes me that your guitar has a very "ringing" sound - you can hear all of the strings all the time, which creates a complex spectrum that's...

Re: Does audio to midi work for anyone?

Hi melocoton,

Indeed, the Audio-to-MIDI features take a little bit of practice. We have a video tutorial with a few tips and tricks, I hope this helps:

And it also happens when you restart Live after switching driver type and freezing?

Re: Freezing tracks issue using external instruments and ReWire

Hi xbitz, Indeed, that doesn't sound good. Does this also happen if you restart Live after having switched the audio driver type in the preferences and before you freeze? Another question: does this also happen with regular samples (without freezing anything) when you switch audio drive type? Best, ...

Re: Live's new audio to midi feature.

Hi agent314,

Except for the transients, there is no additional parameter for the detection.

The transients will pick up a change in pitch in most cases, so natural slides, like those
produced by the human voice, will usually get detected correctly.

Best,
