Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
Is this really just straight dropping Windows 8.1 support? Asking for a friend... Seriously though, is it just Windows 10 recommended, or not likely at all to function as intended on older OS's? Yes, that did make me think "hmmm". I am still on Windows 8.1 because I was using an Edirol UA...

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
Eh, I just upgraded straight away, at first thinking "nah". Then I saw it's only gonna cost me £111. If this Are you on Suite? Mine says GBP 143 Yes, Live Suite 10. It stated a 20% VAT included discount due to the preordering, reducing £179 to £111 (which is way more than 20%!). "Tha...

Re: Live 11 is coming !!!
Eh, I just upgraded straight away, at first thinking "nah". Then I saw it's only gonna cost me £111. If this version lives for about three years before another version is sold, it will cost me just over £3 per month. This amount is so trivial even thinking about upgrading or not was wastef...

Re: Encoder tightness on Push 2
Glad it worked for you! Alas for me it hasn't. Jitter severe now. Fortunately, Ableton are willing to replace the unit for only 79 quid! They're gonna send me shipping stuff and everything, so that's all good.

VST3 has now been introduced in the Beta, Live 10.1, and quite a few other things:

I tried: CCcleaner (which made bootup and everything faster to load overall I must say, cleaning the very cluttered registry) off topic, but... careful with CCleaner these days... there was a hacked version; https://www.pcworld.com/article/3225407/security/ccleaner-downloads-infected-malware.html h...

Re: ADSR on Simpler 'slices'?
Does a simple ADSR envelope exist for Simpler? I usually drop in a Sample, and select slice, then use the % value on transients to chop up the sample. However sometimes I get clicks, and in general would love to use a simple ADSR envelope to 'shape' the slices. Am I being stupid, or is there not an...

Re: Kick sub and top Kick?
I also like using Live's Drum Buss device, tuned to the correct frequency and just a quick decay sub amount dialed in, the rest matched to taste/context. Usually sounds great on all sorts of kickdrums that already have the top end pop but could do with some meat.

Re: Audio problems: old interfaces, garbled audio into Live etc
Thank you very much! I'll test it sometime this week I think. In the meantime, for my desktop, I've managed to sort out all the performance problems and crashes and dropouts (not the audio garble thing - though i think that's probably the unit being old and defective), - everything - with the latest...

Re: CPU usage in Live 10
I too was struggling a lot with crackling and dropouts even with tests using only one channel and some plugins. MY CPU usage would be reported as around 20% in task manager, and per core around 14% - 7% - hexcore, or 12 threads). If it exceeded 60% in Live's core usage meter it would start crackling...

Re: Audio problems: old interfaces, garbled audio into Live etc
Hey Ted I have a UA-25 on my second developer machine which runs Win10. You are correct that they don't do drivers for Win10 but I made a simple change to the installation ini files which now make it a win 10 driver version and seems to work just fine. Tried the same thing on my Presonus Firebox an...

Audio problems: old interfaces, garbled audio into Live etc
I used to have a pretty trouble-free experience with Live through the years, but lately it's been frustrating due to constant crashes and audio interface failure. I've been using an Edirol UA-25 since around 2004 and a Pod HD desktop since around 2013. The UA25's ASIO driver crashes randomly now (th...

Re: M4L, control any parameter, at least 24 Macros?
I am currently really enjoying MultiMapper32 V2.7 Thank you! This device is incredible! Once the device is locked to push the banks are still accessible which blows my mind! Alas naming macros is not available, but that has to do with it not being a native device, I see the programmer had to use so...

Re: M4L, control any parameter, at least 24 Macros?
I am currently really enjoying MultiMapper32 V2.7 4 banks of 8 macros (you can rename them but the new names do not show up on Push), 16 presets, XY morpher between first 4 presets, customizable curves/MSEGs for each macro. So far it's been really great especially if I have a complex Soundtoys rack ...

Re: Ableton 10 slow to load instruments, drums, rack etc...
Sets take pretty damn long to load these days. About 1 minute for a usual set of mine, where it used to take around 10 seconds (also Live 10). I did purchase Soundtoys 5 recently (it is so very excellent) after about a 2 year hiatus from music due to spending all my free time readying for a new care...
