Hi everybody -

I can swear I've used Note On/Offs to mute/unmute a channel before BUT for some reason Live is getting tres grumpy at both my MPD and my Axoim when I try to achieve this. Any ideas?

Unless you're using old, sketchy cable, I doubt that the cable itself is the source of your hiss. It might be a good idea to check your equipment first and judge from there. Whirlwind makes a dependable cable - buy one and suss out the issue from there.

MIDI Causes serious CPU Usage Problems

Hi all - I recently installed a friend's copy of Ableton 5 on my Black MacBook and it doesn't seem to be crazy about working with MIDI. It can handle umpteen channels of plain old audio just fine but when I try and play more than on MIDI track, even on their own, CPU usage starts getting up to 115%,...
