Thanks! good to know before i transferred it or in this case, not transferring it

my roommate is interested in getting live. Can i transfer my version of 8 on his computer now that i downloaded 9 or will it not work since i authorized it on my computer first?

Sorry if this is a noob question, i'm just unsure on how the authorization works when you upgrade..

Do I have to upgrade through Ableton website, or can I order a boxed edition from a nearby shop, and still get the update to 9?


you can buy it anywhere, i bought the boxed version of suite 8 from sweetwater.com which was less expensive at the time and it comes ...
