Re: Ableton struggles and crashes when freezing tracks

I have the same issue when my project becomes very heavy. I usually just bounce the audio at this point. I can still freeze but will randomly crash the project. This never happens when the project is in light use so I gather it's a CPU related issue that Live struggles with.

Re: Mixdown: Controlling Return Tracks

I used to have the same niggle with the returns.. What i do now is set up a load of nice fx on different return channels, I use them mainly for sfx sounds. Once i put an effect on that i like i then export it with the return effect applied and then place it on an empty channel with the sends down. S...

Re: Looking for very specific ride symbol

Really easy one mate... Its a TR-909 ride. You can download loads of variations of it that will sound exactly like that. It can be adjusted with EQ and stick it in a simpler to adjust the decay and sustain.

Ableton 9... minimize - maximize

Been having a small fault with Live 9 since the day i installed it. Roughly every 5 or 10 minutes i lose the ability to do anything on screen. If for example i hit stop or mute or any other button, It doesn't show on screen. Its as if i have taken a screenshot of live. The workaround is to minimize ...

Re: Ableton - Filter Delay for Techno/House stabs/chords

I think you have to use your ears on this one. No point in someone giving you a list of parameters without being there to hear the results. Try as the above poster advised. Chain two or three together for starters and set the first one up so the delay is to your liking. Then mute it and set the seco...

Re: How do I freeze a track that has side chain compression on?

This works pretty well for general pumping/sidechain use and you can freeze with it on.

massive difference. I went for SSD system drive and two 7200 drives for audio and samples. Really pleased with the results.

Re: 32bit vs 64 bit

I bought a new i7 quad pc and wanted to use 64 bit live but was also concerned with the 32 bit plugin issue.
I went for jbridge and manged to get all my 32 bit plugins working perfectly. If it never worked out i would have re installed 32 bit Live but no need to in the end.

PS you can't blame people wanting to use 64 bit to get the full use out of their RAM on the pc.
Yes there will be problems but lets try helping people rather than crappy smart arse replies... That is all.

Re: THE BIGGEST reason why a 3rd party bit-bridge sucks

yeah, when i bought a Mac with 64 bit OS i thought everything would "just work". it's totally not my fault that i switched, i had nothing to do with it. and 3DW... moving forward i will use your last post as an example of the epitome of good manners. thanks for showing me the way. BTW, are those 32...
