Thanks heaps for your help guys. I did a clean install of Mac OS last night and my laptop feels brand new. It's is now usable again even though I can tell I don't have a quad core I7 inside :o :o Currently running a test project set in Live 10 to see how much it can handle. So far I can run 6 tracks...

Hi Guys, I'm currently running Live 9 + Push 2 + Arturia Audiofuse + Moog Subsequent 37 on an early 2015 Macbook Pro / 2,9ghz i5 / 16gb RAM DDR3 and it is giving me a lot of grief. As soon as I have 4-5 tracks running I get huge CPU spikes to 100% - 200% with audio crackles which then freezes my com...

I would think grabbing a used APC40 now would be an excellent move. I'm not really familiar with the other two, it all depends exactly what you wanna do and how much you can spend. The APC 40 is very easy to use, has a cross fader, and can be made more sophisticated with the software from Isotonik ...

Atm sounds like it's going to be push first plus APC 40. any thoughts on Ohm 64 in comparison to APC + PUSH ?

maybe apc 40 and a maschine mikro 1 ? its around the same price push costs and u got nearly the same abilitys (step sequence, velocity sensitive pads) Yeah APC 40 seems definitely like a good base to have to control faders/effects/ and audio clip. Heard few critics about the mikro saying it wasn't ...

That looks like a pretty sweet set up for what I'd like to do. DO you think it's worth buying a used apc 40 to save cash or something quite risky to do ?

Also what about APC 40 + Maschine Mikro or MPD 32

ps: I'd also like to have the possibility to play live instruments (drums percussions) in my dj set

Also on how I'd like to DJ with Ableton would mainly be to mix between multiple tracks, add samples, cut loops, use quite a lot of effects, and progressively incorporate loop...
